Tonal in Spain: why it isn't sold and what to buy instead

Tonal is the brand that invented the modern smart wall gym, the one you see in elite American athletes' homes and the first name people search when they discover the category. And here's the problem: Tonal isn't officially sold in Spain. This guide explains what real options you have in 2026 — written, transparency first, by the Spanish distributor of the Prodigy IMBODY.

Can you buy a Tonal in Spain?

Officially, no. As of July 2026 Tonal sells in the United States and Canada, and its website doesn't ship to Europe. The routes that remain are bad ones:

  • Importing it yourself: on top of the machine's price (~$4,295 for the Tonal 2), add freight for a panel of over 45 kg, customs and VAT — plus a detail that disqualifies the whole thing: it's designed for the North American 110–120 V mains, so you'll need a permanent transformer, with the warranty already lost along the way.
  • Grey market / second-hand: no warranty, no support and the same electrical problem.

And even if it arrived plugged in and working, there's still the business model:

The hidden cost: the mandatory subscription

Tonal requires a membership of ~$60/month to work normally; without it the machine is reduced to the basics. Over three years that's more than €2,000 added to the hardware — the real cost of a Tonal in Spain would be around €7,000–8,000 over 3 years, if you managed to bring it in.

That figure explains why the alternative isn't "wait for Tonal to arrive" but to look at what's already sold here with a European plug and no fee.

The alternatives to Tonal available in Spain (2026)

  • Prodigy IMBODY Power S Pro — the Tonal concept taken to a mirror format: 43" touchscreen, 120 kg of digital weight (the Tonal 2 tops out at ~100), safety AI, nearly 1,000 exercises and over 350 classes with no mandatory subscription. €4,899 with an in-person demo, installation and warranty in Spain.
  • Speediance Gym Monster 2 — tower format with a bench, 100 kg, €3,490 on its site as of July 2026. The price/performance option; our comparison with the Prodigy details the differences.
  • Aeke K1 — a 100 kg 4K mirror at €3,598, with no local presence; we give it a full review.

The full table, with criteria and prices, is in the 2026 smart gym ranking.
