The best smart gym of 2026: an honest ranking

Prodigy IMBODY mirror in a living room replacing 260 machines

"What's the best smart gym I can buy in Spain in 2026?" It's the question we get asked most on demos, and the honest answer is: it depends on what you value most. Here's our reasoned ranking — yes, we distribute one of them and we say so from the first line; the data on the others comes from their official websites as of July 2026, and we flag anything that isn't confirmed.

The criteria (so you can argue with the ranking)

  • Real resistance: peak kilos and how they feel (digital weight, no inertia).
  • Content with no fee: what's included without paying a monthly subscription.
  • Format: a mirror that blends into the home vs a gym tower.
  • Purchase and after-sales in Spain: language, warranty, installation and who you turn to.
  • Total cost over 3 years (machine + fees + accessories).

1. Prodigy IMBODY Power S Pro — the best overall package

The Power S Pro is the most resolved format in the category: a full-length mirror with a 43" touchscreen, 120 kg of digital weight (60 per arm, 0.5 kg steps) and a 0.1 m² footprint. It packs nearly 1,000 exercises, over 350 classes and an AI that acts as a spotter — all with no mandatory subscription, which is where the category usually hides the real cost.

At €4,899 it's the most expensive on this list, and we won't pretend otherwise: you're paying for the mirror format (switched off it's furniture, not a gadget), the extra 20 kg of resistance over its direct rivals, and local purchase: in-person demo, installation, warranty and support in Spain, in your language. If the budget stretches, it's the one we recommend; if not, financed it comes to a monthly payment comparable to a mid-range gym.

2. Speediance Gym Monster 2 — the bestseller

The volume benchmark in the category in Spain. Tower format with a bench, 100 kg of resistance (50 per arm), a huge accessory catalogue (barbell, rower, even a golf pack) and an aggressive price: €3,490 on its website as of July 2026 (down from €3,990). It's a serious, mature product, and its community is real.

Its downsides: it's a gym tower, not furniture — it needs its corner and switched off it still looks like a machine —, the screen is smaller and the sale in Spain is online without a widespread physical demo network. We give it a full comparison.

3. Aeke K1 — the alternative mirror

The closest competitor to the Prodigy in concept: a mirror with a 43" 4K screen and 100 kg of digital weight, at €3,598 as of July 2026 on its European website (previously €4,398). It rightly boasts about not charging a subscription and a polished design.

The downsides: its presence in Spain is minimal — a multi-language site with no Spanish domain, no showroom, remote support — and the resistance tops out at 100 kg. If you're interested, read our Aeke K1 review.

4. Tonal 2 — the American benchmark (that you can't buy here)

Tonal invented much of this category and its second generation is a great product… with no official distribution in Spain. Importing it means customs, the 110 V US mains, and above all its business model: a mandatory subscription (~$60/month) without which the machine is crippled. Over 3 years that's more than €2,000 on top of the hardware. We've written about the alternatives to Tonal in Spain.

5. Vitruvian Trainer+ — the platform format

Australian, a floor-board format (no tower, no mirror), up to 200 kg of resistance according to the maker and very portable. Interesting for anyone who only wants deadlift, squat and row with the smallest visual footprint — but with no screen of its own (you use your tablet), a more limited cable-exercise catalogue due to the floor geometry, and a still-token presence in Spain.

Our honest recommendation

  • You want the best and for it to blend into the home: Prodigy IMBODY Power S Pro. Book a demo before deciding; it clicks in 10 minutes.
  • Price/performance is the priority and you don't mind the tower format: Speediance Gym Monster 2.
  • You wanted a Tonal: don't wait for it to arrive; between the Prodigy and the Aeke you cover the same concept with no monthly fee and a European plug.

And if you're coming from a classic plate-loaded multi-gym, start by understanding what changes with digital resistance — it's the decision that comes before any brand.
